People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy will be in the High Court today for the start of a week of two court cases to have ‘Super-junior Ministers’ attendance at cabinet declared unconstitutional.
Deputy Pa Daly’s case which begins on Monday will be followed directly by Paul Murphy’s Plenary action on Wednesday seeking an injunction to restrain ‘Super-Junior Ministers' from attending Cabinet meetings.
Witnesses will be called and cross-examined in Paul Murphy’s case, including former Minister, Shane Ross, the Secretary General to the Government, John Callinan, historian Diarmuid Ferriter, and Paul Murphy himself.
Both cases should be concluded by the end of the week, with a decision likely in September.
