People Before Profit-Solidarity TDs and Councillors host their think-in from 9.15am today, Monday 15th September in the Alhambra room in the Gibson Hotel, Dublin 1 - D01 X2P2.
We will hear from campaigners on the scoliosis scandal, disability issues, and the lack of appropriate school places for children with additional education needs. We will also hear from leading authorities on neutrality and militarisation and activists from the Palestine solidarity movement.
Visiting speakers will include:
- Stephen Morrison (father of the late Harvey Morrison Sherratt)
- Charlotte Cahill and Rachel Lowry of Equality in Education - campaign for appropriate school places for children with additional education needs
Neutrality, the triple lock and Palestine solidarity
- Dr Patrick Bresnihan (Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at Maynooth University)
- Dr Patrick Brodie (Assistant Professor UCD School of Information and Communication Studies).
- Dr Bresnihan and Dr Brodie are leading authorities on neutrality and militarisation
- Helen Mahony, coordinator of the IPSC campaign to stop the Central Bank regulating Israel's war bonds.
There will be a press conference at 12.15pm.
Ruth Coppinger and Paul Murphy* will speak at the press conference, where they will set out People Before Profit-Solidarity’s political priorities for the new Dáil term.
